Welcome, Jacqueline!

Welcome to the Kev’s Gym team, Jacqueline!

Jacqueline Gikow is a movement coach and rehab specialist, health & wellness coach with a long history of fitness activity including almost 10 years in professional practice. She specializes in one-on-one training to move better with chronic joint and muscle pain, inflammation, injuries, or pre/post-op rehab. From the beginning, Jacqueline also taught a variety of classes to an older population. Classes included water fitness, seated fitness, yoga, and dance.

The owner of Audacious Living NYC, her holistic, health and wellness practice, she focuses on pain relief through better movement. Due to managing pain from her own injuries and health challenges, she is empathetic to others in pain, helping clients hurt less, get stronger, and prevent re-injury.

How we move fascinates Jacqueline. With a commitment to break down the barriers that stand between you and your best life, she urges you to: “Move better today.” Jacqueline is not a one-size-fits-all coach. And she is not a “no pain, no gain” coach. She provides practical, realistic guidance and makes sure no one gets hurt.

Helping someone develop habits and skills that get them moving makes Jacqueline happy. And she is mindful when listening to each client’s fitness and health concerns. Movement is Jacqueline’s passion, and she loves to see people take control of their health.

Fitness often focuses on how hard we train when we need to pay attention to the quality of movement. Feeling good about ourselves should be our goal. Who cares if we live to 110 if we’re miserable? Jacqueline’s clients are in search of practical fitness. Her approach to fitness is non-traditional, promoting natural movement.

We love to see that our clothes fit better. But it’s less important how we look than how we feel. Are we healthy? Energetic? Less stressed? Jacqueline understands limitations. She knows good movement is as important as eating, sleeping, and breathing. Improving movement patterns is an essential element of her fitness approach.

Jacqueline is certified as a professional trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), as a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBCHWC), as a certified Functional Aging Specialist (FAI), and as a certified Arthritis Program Leader (AFAP/AFEP).Jacqueline lives and works in New York City. A writer and lifelong artist, Jacqueline’s books can be found on Amazon. An unabashed techie and DIY nerd, she is an avid cyclist who loves bright colors, cats, and hats.
