Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

When 2023 started, my goal was to workout every day.. Here we are after 365 days with 365 workouts in the books.

Fitness, for me, is not exclusively about improving physical health, mental health, and overall well-being. Fitness has instilled in me certain characteristics that I leverage to improve other aspects of my life. For example, working out every day takes consistency and discipline. Regardless of how I feel (happy, sad, tired, sick, etc.) I make sure to get my workout in for the day.. no excuses.. The same thing can apply to business, relationships, etc. If you want to run a successful business – you need to show up every day make your calls, answer your emails, etc.

Fitness also gives me resiliency. I jump into ice baths, run marathons, do “hell week–ends” on the beach during the winter, to strengthen my resolve so when there are setbacks, self-doubt, etc. my mind is conditioned to get through them in one piece.

There is always room for growth and improvement and while this was a nice accomplishment for the year, when the clock strikes 12 tonight, this is in the past and a new day and new year begin with new goals and obstacles to accomplish and overcome.

Keep setting your bar high, never settle, and embrace discomfort to grow!
